
Corredor fluvial Guadiana river - Puente Ajuda
We can enjoy the river pathways along many rivers in
Extremadura, showing the natural beauty and cultural heritage of those
zones.
To date, we find eight river paths with a total of
nineteen routes, distributed in eleven municipalities in the province
of Badajoz.
Routes are currently located in the regions of
Baldios (just north of the city of Badajoz), Olivenza and Jerez de los
Caballeros, and pass along the courses of rivers like Gebora, Zapaton,
Guadiana, Nogales, Alconchel, Alcarrache and two areas of Ardila river.

In a second phase of this project, more hiking paths will be signaling in the other regions of Badajoz.
Each corridor has an Environmental Center, an observatory of flora and fauna, where travelers can get information on the corridor routes, points of interest and ecosystems to be visited.
Furthermore, along the route we will find posters
with general information on the route and explanations on some
particular point of interest.We will also see various signs which will guide us along the route.
In summary, a wide range of hiking trails to choose from, to spend a day in contact with nature.
