Saint Isidro pilgrimage in Fuente de Cantos
Every May the 15th the inhabitants of Fuente de Cantos celebrate a country party to conmemorate the Saint Isidro's day.

It is a established custom that the inhabitants of Fuente de Cantos commemorate Saint Isidro with a country party surrounded by the Saint Isidro's Hermitage.

The people goes to the pradera Martá, a prairie near the town, to celebrate the pilgrimage mass. Once the mass has finished the image of Saint Isidro is carried in procession to everybody have the chance to see the and give thanks to the Saint.

Throughout the day the pilgrims meet in pavillions to have a good time with their friends and visitors. Almost three hundred pavillions are built for this day.

The pilgrimage is so well-known that people from nearby provinces like Huelva or Seville come to Fuente de Cantos that day. The more important aspects of this event are the warmth and joyful reception to everyone, excellent food, good wines and feast all the day.
