
We leave towards LLerena, it was the Masters of the Order of Santiago See for some centuries, besides during the muslim occupation it was known after Ellerina.
In LLerena's main square stands out Nuestra Señora de la Granada Church, it is impressive the great height of the tower, its Renaissance style or the structure are some of the features of this unique tower.

Inside the Church of Santiago (15th Century) is buried Alonso de Cárdenas, las Master of the Order of Santiago.
From the Main Square towards the Arabs Walls we find the Palace of Justice arcades or the Palace of Zapata's facade. Luis Zapata was one of the Catholic Kings' counselor and advisor, he had a hand in to establish a Holy Office Court.
Our next break is in Casas de Reina, it is the nearest town to the Roman remains of Regina (Regina Turdulorum).
To get there is easy, we just have to follow the signs. It is useful to look up the opening hours because the remains are in a fenced enclosure.

The Roman colony of Regina had a splendid Roman Theatre (there were 1000 seats), nowadays it is well-kept due to restoration works that are carrying out.

From the Roman remains enclosure we may contemplate the Arab Castle of Reina, it is placed on the top of a nearby hill.
It is worth to visit Reina and its surroundings. Inside the castle there is a 15th Century Hermitage, it is believed that it was orinally built under the visigoth reign. Besides, the views are striking.
We head towards Fuente del Arco, we take the road to the mine following the indications.
